Stage 3 have now settled into their classes and routines for 2013.
The current focus of Stage 3 is on taking responsibility for their own behaviour and actions and recognising that every choice we make has a consequence that can not only affect ourselves but others. Students are encouraged to make appropriate choices as they move into the middle years of schooling. We have already noticed students taking on this responsibility and showing appropriate decisions for the younger students to follow. It is all part of being the leaders of the school.
The other area we are focusing on is giving things a go. Students in Stage 3 have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of extra curricula activities. It is up to them to listen at assemblies, turn up to meetings or trials and put themselves forward. Not all students will be chosen but just trying out is an achievement. You never know if you don't give it a go!
All the best for 2013.
