Central Coast Dance Festival, June 2014
On Tuesday 17th June the primary boys dance group performed ‘Take it to the Floor’, a hip hop dance with attitude at the Central Coast Dance Festival. The following evening, the infants girls dance group showed off their fabulous moves to ‘Aint no Mountain’. On Monday 23rd July Charly and Georgia from 6S performed a contemporary piece with the regional ensemble to ‘Brave’.Charlee from 5/6C was also involved in the same show, as she was selected to MC the evening. All the students who were involved in the Central Coast Dance Festival this year were fantastic representatives of Wamberal Public School and enthusiastic performers. Thank you to all the parents and staff members who supported these students and cheered them on from the audience.
Central Coast Showcase Festival

The K/1 boys and girls dance group performed at the Central Coast Showcase Festival last Monday. Their bright smiles, big moves and colourful costumes wowed the audience. The children were fantastic representatives of Wamberal Public School. Faith, Kirby and Jacky also performed a musical item at Showcase the following day and were warmly received. Both groups were some of the youngest performers at the event, with most acts coming from high school students. Congratulations to both groups on outstanding performances!
Gosford City Council School Environmental Program Award Ceremony

20 students from Kinder to Year 5 attended the Gosford City Council Environmental Award Ceremony at Laycock Street Theatre on Tuesday 20th November, 2012, together with Mrs Hercok and Mrs Tyrrell.
Charlotte B from K/1H came first in the Kindergarten competition for her amazing poster on keeping our waterways clean.
19 students from the Wakakirri group performed their Take 3 dance at the ceremony and it was warmly received by the audience and event organisers.
Our school was acknowledged for the various environmental initiatives that have been embraced by students and teachers, including: the garden, worm farm and drainage control. We were awarded with 'Take 3- Highly Commended' and 'Environmental School of the Year'. What an achievement!
